The London-based research and ratings authority Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranked three Philippine universities among the world's best when it comes to English teaching. Ranked by the respected research firm were Ateneo de Manila (24th best in the world in the fieleds of English language and literature), University of the Philippines (32), and De La Salle University (44). In a statement to a leading local broadsheet, QS stated that the results of the study affirm the much lauded language specialization strength of the western Pacific nation.
The top five rankings in the latest study were garnered by world famous learning institutions in the United States and the United Kingdom. By ranking, these historic academic centers are Cambridge, Harvard, Oxford, Yale, and University of California Berkeley.
QS regularly publishes its institutional rankings on a wide range of subjects and is a prominent authority that is sought after by educational and recruitment decision makers around the world.
